Pokémon TCG
Six prize cards. First to take all six wins.
About the game
The Pokémon trading card game launched in Japan in 1996 and has become one of the most played card games in the world. Two players send Pokémon against each other: you attach energy, evolve them, and the first to collect their prize cards wins. The rules take minutes to learn, while deck building runs as deep as any of the big card games.
A deck is sixty cards: Pokémon, energy and trainer cards. You attach energy to your Pokémon, evolve them to the next stage and attack — every knockout lets you take a prize card. The core rules take five minutes to learn; what goes into the deck, and when it turns up, is what keeps you there all evening.
Pokémon is a casual table here: you do not need a tournament deck, and your first game costs you nothing — we keep loaner decks for beginners. Bring your own, or sit down with one of ours and learn as you go.
Why play the Pokémon TCG?
Five minutes and you are playing
Attach energy, attack, draw. That is the core — the depth is in what goes into the deck and when it arrives.
No collection required
A ready-made starter deck covers your first few evenings, and we have loaners. Collecting can wait.
Eight-year-olds and forty-eight-year-olds at one table
Few games are taken equally seriously by a child and an adult. This is one of them.
