About the game
The Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game (MESBG) is a tactical miniature wargame by Games Workshop, based on Peter Jackson’s film trilogy and J. R. R. Tolkien’s books. You command armies of heroes or dark forces across diverse scenarios — from the Misty Mountains to the plains of Mordor.
Unlike other wargames, MESBG is renowned for its outstanding miniatures and deep tactical system, where every hero has unique abilities and you must be an excellent strategist to achieve victory.
Start with a basic box — and good luck, as Tolkien’s world will almost certainly sweep you away.
